Community Celebrations

Springlands School aims to provide a wide variety of powerful experiences to help children develop competencies. These experiences provide rich contexts for learning across the seven areas of the NZ Curriculum – Literacy, Numeracy, Inquiry (Social Sciences, Science and Technology), the Arts, Health and Physical Education.

Community involvement is a high priority when designing powerful learning experiences and twice a year we celebrate and reflect on our learning with the community. Information on these events are available in the fortnightly newsletter, facebook and on the School Ap.

Some of the community events include:

  • Maui and the Sun -Performing Arts / Technology inquiry
  • Market days -Technology / Financial inquiry
  • Art Festivals -Visual Arts/ Technology inquiry
  • Dancing through the Decades – History / Dance inquiry
  • Science Expo
